On August 25–26, 2026, GBOS was invited to attend the New Balance Smart Lean Workshop 2026 in Vietnam, joining leading contract manufacturers from Vietnam, China, and Indonesia, along with a select group of technology and equipment suppliers. The two-day workshop brought together industry leaders to discuss one increasingly important question: How can manufacturers improve efficiency, quality, and responsiveness in an increasingly competitive manufacturing environment? For GBOS, the event was more than an industry gathering. It was an opportunity to listen, observe, and gain a deeper understanding of how lean manufacturing is evolving across Vietnam and the wider Southeast Asian market. 01 From “Lean Thinking” to Real-World Manufacturing Over the two days, factory representatives shared practical experiences from their lean manufacturing journeys, while invited suppliers presented new technologies and solutions designed to improve production efficiency. Participants also visited model factories to see how lean principles are being applied on the shop floor. What stood out was the focus on real manufacturing challenges. The discussions were not limited to theories or concepts.
