On August 20, 2026, the Adidas Indonesia E&ME Summit 2026 was successfully held at PWJ Industrial Park in Central Java, Indonesia.

Bringing together key contract manufacturers, supply chain leaders, and engineering and manufacturing executives from Adidas Indonesia, the summit focused on four strategic priorities: flexible and responsive production, digital transformation, lean manufacturing, and green sustainability. As an important annual industry forum, the event provided a platform for manufacturers and technology providers to exchange ideas on the future of sports manufacturing in Southeast Asia.

Adidas Indonesia E&ME Summit 2026

As a specialist in one-stop intelligent cutting and innovative manufacturing solutions, GBOS was invited to showcase its latest technologies for sportswear and footwear production. With solutions including the AI Digital Cutting Center, Intelligent Nesting System, high-performance oscillating knife cutting technology, and AI VisionScan system, GBOS demonstrated how intelligent, end-to-end cutting solutions can help manufacturers improve material utilization, maintain consistent quality, and respond more efficiently to increasingly complex production demands.

01 Industry Trends: Why Flexible Manufacturing Matters

The global sportswear and footwear market is evolving rapidly. Consumers are increasingly looking for personalized products, while brands continue to demand shorter lead times, greater flexibility, and consistently high quality.

For manufacturers, however, meeting these expectations is becoming increasingly challenging. Fragmented orders, multiple styles, complex production processes, strict quality requirements, and pressure on production costs are placing greater demands on factory operations and supply chain responsiveness.

At the same time, sustainability is no longer an optional consideration. Material utilization, production efficiency, and energy consumption have become important indicators of manufacturing performance.

For manufacturers across Southeast Asia, the key question is no longer simply how to produce more, but how to reduce costs, improve efficiency, respond quickly to changing orders, and maintain consistent quality—all while using resources more efficiently.

This is where intelligent manufacturing technologies can make a meaningful difference.

02 Intelligent Solutions: Building a Smarter Cutting Workflow

To address these challenges, GBOS has developed an integrated digital cutting workflow that connects AI-powered material recognition, intelligent nesting, and high-precision oscillating knife cutting.

At the heart of this workflow is the GBOS Digital Cutting System, which is designed to handle the complexity of real-world materials and production environments.

For leather and other natural materials, the system can identify material characteristics and imperfections, helping manufacturers optimize cutting layouts and improve material utilization. By making better use of available materials, manufacturers can reduce waste and improve overall production economics.

The system also supports multi-style and small-batch mixed production, enabling factories to respond more efficiently to changing orders while reducing downtime caused by frequent production changeovers.

More importantly, digitalized cutting processes can reduce dependence on individual operator experience and help maintain greater consistency across production batches. From material preparation and nesting to cutting and production management, the connected workflow creates a more efficient, traceable, and scalable manufacturing process.

From Technology to Real-World Applications:

During the summit, GBOS engaged in detailed discussions with leading Adidas suppliers and manufacturing partners.

Rather than presenting a one-size-fits-all solution, the GBOS team focused on the practical challenges faced by individual factories, including lightweight production-line upgrades, material waste reduction, equipment integration, and phased digital transformation.

These discussions highlighted an important point: intelligent manufacturing does not always require a complete overhaul of an existing production line. In many cases, manufacturers can begin with targeted upgrades and gradually build a more connected and intelligent production system based on their specific needs.

GBOS’s combination of integrated technology, practical implementation experience, and localized technical support attracted strong interest from summit attendees. Several manufacturers also expressed interest in further discussions, pilot projects, and potential long-term cooperation.

03 Looking Ahead: Building a More Sustainable Sports Manufacturing Ecosystem

GBOS’s participation in the Adidas Indonesia E&ME Summit 2026 marks another step in the company’s continued expansion across Southeast Asia and its deeper engagement with the global sports manufacturing supply chain.

Indonesia is an important manufacturing hub for the global sportswear and footwear industry. To better support local and international manufacturers, GBOS has established a localized service capability that covers on-site installation and commissioning, operator training, remote technical assistance, and ongoing on-site support.

This local support network is designed to help manufacturers reduce the barriers associated with adopting new technologies and ensure that intelligent equipment can deliver practical value on the factory floor.

Adidas Indonesia E&ME Summit 2026

Looking ahead, GBOS will continue to focus on the real-world needs of sportswear and footwear manufacturers. Through ongoing innovation in AI-driven lean intelligent manufacturing and Manufacturing 4.0, GBOS aims to help global partners achieve greater efficiency, more flexible production, improved material utilization, and more sustainable operations.

Together with industry partners, GBOS is committed to turning intelligent manufacturing from a technological concept into measurable value on the production floor—and helping shape a smarter, more agile, and sustainable future for global sports manufacturing.
