Cambodia garment factory strike

According to Cambodian media reports, on the morning of February 27th, nearly 1000 workers went on strike at a garment factory in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. They demanded wage increases to $204, $208, and $212, respectively, with the amounts mainly determined by their skill levels in the factory.

With the rise in labor costs, the profit margins of garment manufacturing in Cambodia have been repeatedly squeezed. How to reduce labor costs and improve the profitability of various manufacturing processes? How to move towards the high-end value chain? This is not only a must-answer question for Cambodian enterprises, but also a must-answer question for all garment industries, even all labor-intensive enterprises!

GBOS, as a leading developer of flexible intelligent manufacturing equipment, will participate in the SCISMA exhibition in the Greater Bay Area from March 20th to 22nd, inviting you to explore the “Digital Cutting Center” for the garment and footwear industries and jointly improve profitability.
